Rishabh Pant limping after taking the catch of Varun Aaron in Delhi Capitals last match against Rajasthan Royals was a sight that was not welcoming for the DC management. However, as per reports from close sources to the management, Pant is just sore and there are no injury concerns.

Delhi Capitals beat the Royals by 46 runs in Sharjah in match 23 to go to the top of the IPL 2020 points table. Delhi have won five out of six games sitting at 10 points at the top of the table.

Delhi Capitals have had a few injury concerns in this IPL season so far. R Ashwin injured his shoulder in the very first match that Delhi played in this season. He missed out a few games before making a comeback for the side against KKR in Sharjah. Veteran spinner Amit Mishra was ruled out of IPL 2020 in the same match that Ashwin made a comeback after breaking his spinning finger.

No Injury Concerns For Rishabh Pant

The DC management clarified that there are no injury concerns with Rishabh Pant, however, he had a few cramps after the game due to due to the humidity.

“No injury worries there. He is one of the fittest guys and it is due to the humidity that sometimes you cramp up or go sore. You can see the humidity levels here in the UAE,” the source pointed out.

Ishant Sharma, too, has had his share of injuries which has kept him out of the team. He has just played one game for the franchise this season.

Meanwhile, despite all their injury concerns, Delhi has been the best team in the tournament so far. They have the best-balanced side in the tournament so far with a good mix of youth and experience. They are the only team with a good contingent of Indian players forming the core of the team.

The inclusion of Marcus Stoinis and Shimron Hetmyer has been a huge addition to the side. Both have been more than handy with the bat, with Stoinis chipping in with the ball as well.

Rishabh Pant is expected to be a part of the Indian squad which will be touring Australia later this year.
