Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders in a completely one-sided contest in IPL 2020. Batting first KKR were rocked early by an incredibly bowling spell by Mohammed Siraj.
The fast bowler used the swinging conditions at Abu Dhabi to full effect and stunned KKR early in the match. In his 4 overs spell, Siraj gave away just 8 runs and picked up the wickets of Rahul Tripathi, Nitish Rana and Tom Banton.
RCB Outclass KKR In IPL 2020
From that point onwards it way one way as RCB bowlers put on a show. KKR only managed to score a total of 84 runs in their allotted 20 overs. The highest run-scorer for KKR in the match was their skipper Eoin Morgan who scored 30 from 34 deliveries.
The chase was always going to be a mere formality for the star-studded batting of RCB. Skipper Kohli along with Gurkeerat Singh Mann remained unbeaten at the end as RCB won the match with more than 6 overs remaining and won by 8 wickets.

“It was a late call to be honest (to give Siraj the new ball). Was thinking of giving Washy. I obviously have thought about the things we can do on the field. Management has brought in a proper culture. We have plan A, we have plan B, and people are executing it that’s why it’s looking good. Don’t think a lot of people have a belief in RCB. Guys in the changeroom do and that’s all that matters. Can have the best players in the world but if you don’t have the belief it’s no good”.

“Morris is loving the responsibility. He likes to be in a leadership role in the team. Even against Kings, he tried to york Gayle. His energy is amazing. A great, great addition to our squad. Last year he had a tough year. Lot of people went hard at him. But he worked hard. He’s seeing the result now and we want him to continue”, Kohli said after the win against KKR.
