Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has suffered another injury blow with their star all-rounder Vijay Shankar ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2020. The all-rounder had suffered a hamstring injury during the game against Delhi Capitals on Tuesday.
Incidentally, Shankar had copped up an injury while bowling his second over against Delhi. He was seen holding his left hamstring soon after he delivered the fifth ball of the over. The physio had to attain him but he couldn’t complete his over and had to walk off the ground. Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner bowled the last ball to complete the over.

Vijay Shankar has bowed out of the competition after scoring 97 runs in seven games. He also picked up four wickets while having an economy rate of just 6.22. The all-rounder is the third SRH player to be ruled out of IPL 2020. Before him, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mitchell Marsh were ruled out of the tournament too.
Meanwhile, Shankar becomes the third Hyderabad cricketer to get ruled out after Mitchell Marsh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Sunrisers Hyderabad will certainly miss his service considering that the all-rounder was showing some serious form with the bat.
On the other hand, Wriddhiman Saha, who also suffered a hamstring injury during his whirlwind knock has recovered well on time and will be available for selection later today when they play Royal Challengers Bangalore in a must-win game.
