Team India led by Virat Kohli landed in Sydney today for the upcoming series against Australia. The Indian contingent also had David Warner, Steve Smith and Pat Cummins for company. They reached Sydney together after which the two parties separated to their own base camp. The Indian team will be now under a two-week quarantine period before starting their practice sessions.

The Indian team can also train during their quarantine period after the New South Wales Government provided their approval. They will be training at the Blacktown International Sports Park, which has also been turned into a bio-secure venue.

The first of the four Tests will be played in Adelaide from December 17 to 21. Melbourne will host the Boxing Day Test from December 26-30. Sydney will host the third (January 7-11) and Brisbane (January 15-19) the fourth and final Test match.

The much-awaited series between the two teams consists of four Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is. The limited-overs games will be played before the high-profile Test series. Virat Kohli will be available only for the first Test after which he will return to India on ‘parental leave’.
It is understood that a limited number of families are also being allowed by the NSW state government and the players’ families will need to adhere to the quarantine protocols.
Meanwhile, The Australian stars will join their national team’s camp from November 22 and train separately.
