Recently, Steve Smith challenged the Indian bowlers to bowl bouncers at him. The former Aussie skipper, who is known to not play the short ball well has welcomed the Indian bowlers to bowl bouncers at him. The talismanic run-scorer, who missed the last series owing to a ban will be desperate to make the most against the mighty Indians.
“If teams are trying to get me out like that it’s probably a big benefit for the team because it takes a lot out of people’s bodies if you continually bowl short. I’ve faced a lot of short bowling in my life and I haven’t had too many stresses with it. I suppose we’ll just wait and see,” said Smith.

Meanwhile, in a recent interaction with Cricket Australia’s official website, Steve Smith spoke about his preparations about the upcoming tour. He said that he seems to have found his hands ahead of the start of the series after a disappointing stint in IPL 2020 in the UAE.
“Theoretically, it is a simple thing, but it is just getting that feel and the look of the bat behind my toe the right way and the way my hands come up on the bat. It’s hard to explain but it just hasn’t quite been right until probably two days ago and I found a little something and everything just clicked in,” Smith explained further as to what exactly he meant.
