BCCI President Sourav Ganguly will be involved in a meeting with Cricket Australia to talk about a possible relaxation of quarantine for Indian players Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma. Both players are reportedly ruled out of the Test series due to their respective injuries. However, the BCCI is now making arrangements to fly them to Australia. However, the current quarantine rules in place will prevent them from participating in the Test series.
Meanwhile, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly will talk to Cricket Australia to lessen the quarantine players for the two players. The Indian players were allowed to practice in between their quarantine period because they moved from one bubble to another. However, the issue is different with Rohit & Ishant. They will need to join the Indian squad directly to be able to play the Test series.

Sourav Ganguly in Discussion With Cricket Australia
As per a report in ANI, a BCCI official has said that President Sourav Ganguly will preside over a meeting with Cricket Australia officials to discuss about the same.
“The BCCI president will be speaking to his counterpart at Cricket Australia and a decision will be reached after their meeting. The current quarantine guidelines might make it impossible for the two to reach Australia and be a part of the Test series as under existing rules, they will need to completely isolate themselves and cannot train in the quarantine period” the sources said as quoted by ANI.
There has been plenty of dilemma in the injury concerns of both Rohit and Ishant. Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has also said that the BCCI lacked clarity in explaining the reason behind his exclusion for the tour.
Virat also believed that both Rohit and Ishant would have been fit by the time the first Test starts on December 17. He cited the example of Wriddhiman Saha who is recovering from his injury steadily for the Test series.
