Yesterday Ravindra Jadeja was a key architect in India’s win against Australia in the final ODI at Canberra. Ravindra Jadeja’s all-round brilliance helped team India avoid a whitewash as they registered their first win of the Australian tour. While batting first India were struggling to post a challenging total for Australia.
Then Jadeja joined Hardik Pandya at the crease and the duo completely changed the match and recorded a memorable match-winning partnership. Batting at number 7, Jadeja took his time but during the slog overs, he activated his beast mode and smashed the Australian bowlers.
Jadeja remained unbeaten on 66 and then took the confidence further in the second half as he took the important wicket of Aussie skipper Aaron Finch. Jadeja also executed a sensational catch of Cameron Green which shifted the momentum towards the Indian side.
I Couldn’t Sleep After Dropping The Catch – Ravindra Jadeja
After the conclusion of the match, Jadeja revealed that he couldn’t sleep after he dropped a catch in the previous encounter. The gun Indian fielder dropped an easy catch of Marnus Labuschagne at long-off which shocked everyone. The missed opportunity was haunting Jadeja and he was eager to perform for his side in the last ODI.
“Absolutely, when I dropped the catch in the last match, I couldn’t sleep. The catch was coming in front of me as soon as I closed my eyes”, said Ravindra Jadeja.

“I had thought today (3rd ODI) that if there is a 50-50 situation, I will go for the catch because if I don’t go for the catch, then I feel I am not giving my 100%”, he added.
Meanwhile, Jadeja stayed true to his words and pulled off a splendid catch at deep square leg which he made it look easy. The Indian all-rounder dived in front and completed the catch at a crucial juncture of the match. Now, Jadeja will shift focus towards the 3 matches T20I series which will begin from tomorrow at Canberra.
