Three-time IPL champions Moeen Ali has been bagged by Chennai Super Kings for 7 crores in the IPL 2021 auctions. The England cricketer will play for the MS Dhoni led-side in the next season.

RCB earlier released the all-rounder in the retention window. With Chennai Super Kings looking for off-spinning all-rounder, Moeen fits the bill perfectly. The England all-rounder is a utility cricketer and he made his IPL debut with RCB. However, they lost faith in England overseas player who plays T20 cricket around the world.
