Former Australian skipper Steve Waugh is currently in India for the promotion and launch of his new documentary titled “Capturing Cricket: Steve Waugh in India”. In the same documentary, the former Australian skipper has shared snippets of stories from his cricketing career and the special relationship that he shares with India. He also spoke about Virat Kohli saying that he represents the image of a modern-day hero.
In a 60-minute documentary titled, “Capturing Cricket: Steve Waugh in India”, the former Australia captain said that Kohli is loved by the fans for his attitude of not being intimidated by the opposition.

“What they love about Kohli is that it’s like the new attitude of India, get stuck in, don’t be intimidated. Take everything on and anything is achievable and possible. But he’s like the modern-day hero,” Waugh was quoted as saying in a media release issued here after the launch of the documentary.

Steve Waugh then shared some more stories about his documentary saying that the project is very close to his heart and that he has always been fascinated by the love for the game that the fans of this country have.
“Capturing Cricket is especially very near to my heart as it covers two of my passions that is cricket and photography. Since, my first visit to India in 1986, I was always fascinated by how the locals celebrated the sport of cricket. My recent journey visiting Taj Mahal, Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Maharajah Lakshmi Vilas Palace, HPCA Stadium, Oval Maidan, as well as locations around Delhi and Kolkata, gave me stories and lifetime memories. I am positive that when the fans in India watch the documentary, they will be able to feel the very emotion of the journey,” said Waugh at the launch of the documentary.
Steve Waugh famously led Australia to their World Cup title in 1999 in England. Waugh led Australia to 41 wins in 57 Tests. In 106 ODIs, Australia won 67 matches under him. He is among the finest captains the game has ever seen.
