Premier Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is slowly getting back to match fitness after his thumb surgery earlier this year. He injured his thumb while batting in the third Test against Australia and since then has been out of the Indian squad. He missed the fourth Test against Australia and the Test series against England. He will miss the white-ball leg of the series as he is still in the process of becoming fully fit for the IPL and World Test Championship final thereafter.
Ravindra Jadeja, who finally started training last week, hit the nets on Thursday after two months. On Thursday, he shared a small clip of his practice session on Twitter. “Feeling good. holding bat n ball after two months #gettingready #focusonyourself,” Jadeja tweeted.

He has been updating his fans continuously about his fitness. He shared a video of him doing the drills in the gym with the video on March 2 captioned as “Hustling On #comingbackstronger #trainhard,”.

He came out with another training video four days later, the day when he resumed his training post his thumb surgery. “Back on the field #firstday #postsurgery.”, he captioned the video.

Axar Patel, who replaced Ravindra Jadeja in the last three Tests ended the series with 27 wickets. His bowling partner Ravichandran Ashwin took 32 wickets and together they took 59. Beating England in the Test series, India made the WTC final and Jadeja will be fit in time to play in the final at Southampton on June 18.
Meanwhile, the Indian team is busy preparing themselves for the T20I opener against England. They are high on confidence having beaten the visitors 3-1 in the Test series. They are also on a seven-game unbeaten streak entering into the first game. All the five T20Is will be played at the Narendra Modi stadium after which teams will travel to Pune for the three ODIs to round off the tour.
