Wicketkeeper-batsman, Dinesh Karthik has been appointed the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League.
He was purchased in the IPL auction that concluded in January for ₹ 7.6 cr by the franchise from the lovely city of Kolkata.
KKR surprised everyone when they did not retain their last few season”s captain and performer Gautam Gambhir. Gauti led the team to great heights in all its previous seasons, winning the titles is 2012 and 2014. KKR actually retained two West Indies players, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell. Gambhir then was taken by Delhi Daredevils in the auction as their skipper.
