The Indian cricketers are ready for the historic World Test Championship finals against New Zealand at Ageas Bowl Southampton, starting June 18. The International cricket council (ICC) posted a short clip of the training session on their official Twitter account.
In the clip, the entire Indian squad took a couple of laps of the ground before beginning the intense fielding session. Players were seen enjoying the training session before the summit clash. Ravichandran Ashwin was seen taking a fine catch running backward.
Head Coach Ravi Shastri, captain Virat Kohli, and fielding coach Ramakrishnan Sridhar were seen giving a pep talk to the boys and cheering them.

We are excited for the WTC final: Ajinkya Rahane
Indian red ball vice-captain addressed in a press conference that the team is ready and is looking forward to facing Newzealand in the first-ever WTC finals at the Ageas bowls.
“Every player is excited about this final because we have reached here playing some consistent cricket ever since the World Test Championship began two years ago,” Ajinkya Rahane said in a press conference.
“Even before the Championship began, we have played consistent cricket, so certainly all the boys are geared up for the final clash,” added Indian vice-captain.

Ajinkya Rahane is the highest run-scorer for India in World Test Championship with 1095 runs at an average of 43.80, he said that the focus will be to perform well as a batting unit because in England the teams which have batted well won most of the games
“Batsmen play a crucial role in the English conditions because when the weather gets cloudy, bowlers get a lot of assistance. The teams that have batted well in England have won on most occasions so it will be our responsibility, as a batting unit, to do well,” said Ajinkya Rahane.
“Everyone has different game plans for different conditions and as long as the players back their plan and focus on the game plan of the entire batting unit, the team can achieve the desired results,” he signed off.
