The first batch of Olympic-bound Indian contingent reached Tokyo on Sunday, July 18. The 32nd edition of the Olympic Games is all set to get underway next week.
The Board of Control For Cricket in India posted a video of Indian skipper Virat Kohli cheering for the Indian athletes ahead of the Tokyo Olympics. The BCCI wrote on Twitter:

Virat Kohli is England to play a five-match test series. The series kickstarts on August 4 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
Earlier this month, the BCCI posted a video of the members of the Indian men’s and women’s teams, the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Mithali Raj, Ajinkya Rahane, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harleen Deol urging the fans to support the Olympic-bound athletes. They wrote:

The first group of Indian athletes land in Tokyo for the Olympics
The first batch of 88 members was given a formal send-off on Saturday at the Indira Gandhi Airport in New Delhi by the Indian sports minister, Anurag Thakur amid loud cheers and good wishes. The Indian contingent comprises of 228 members, including 119 athletes.
The opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics will take place on July 23 at the National Stadium in Tokyo. Six-time world champion, boxer MC Mary Kom and Indian men’s hockey team skipper Manpreet Singh will be the country’s flag bearers at the opening ceremony. Wrestler Bajrang Punia will be the flag bearer at the closing ceremony, which will be held on August 8.
