Experienced campaigner Manoj Tiwary has been named in the 39-member probable list by the Cricket Association of Bengal. The 35-year-old was last seen during the 2020 Ranji Trophy in March. He has suffered injuries since then, but will make a comeback to the side now.
Tiwary has been the backbone of the Bengal middle-order for a while now. The aging batsman’s inclusion will be seen in a positive light, despite him nearing the twilight of his career. He had recently entered the domain of politics.
Manoj Tiwary, who is also the Sports Minister of Bengal, feels he has a bit more to give to the domestic side.
“I will maintain my fitness. I will wait and see how it goes, but I don’t rule out playing a few more games for Bengal,” the former Kolkata Knight Riders batsman said.
Whether this season will be his last is still being speculated. Prior to joining the team, however, the entire squad will be gathering for a fitness camp that will start on July 23.

Similar to Manoj Tiwary, Shukla had joined politics but will be back to guide the youngsters.
