Fans on Twitter were not happy with the review decision taken by Virat Kohli during the second day of the Lord’s Test. Fans pinpointed the review Virat Kohli took against England captain Joe Root was more like a desperate review.
Notably, this matter happened in the 23rd over of the match when Mohammad Siraj was bowling. He bowled a beautiful delivery on a good length and England captain Joe Root came up with a defense, and the ball hit his pad. However, at first glance, it looked like the ball will miss the leg stumps.
Meanwhile, Still, Mohammad Siraj did everything to convince Kohli for the review. In the meantime, Indian Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant tried his best to stop Indian captain Kohli from taking a review. Virat Kohli was seen laughing before making the T signal, also Rishabh Pant even tried to pull his hand to stop taking the review.
Although in the end, India took the review and Joe Root was safe as he was given not out by the umpire. As the impact was in line but the ball was missing the leg stumps by a big margin. Notably, Team India lost their two reviews back to back in Mohammad Siraj’s spell, One in 23th over and one in 21st over. Also, this was India’s 21st unsuccessful review in their last 24 DRS.
Talking about Mohammad Siraj, he looked in sensational form in the Lord’s Test. Siraj took two back-to-back wickets to dismantle the England top order. In the 15th over he dismissed Dominic Sibley and on the very next ball, he got the wicket of Haseeb Hameed.

Needed: DRS coaching. Can't waste reviews like this. Need reviews ideally to overturn howlers

Pant everytime he says no for a review but Kohli listens to the bowler. pic.twitter.com/8ogxs18s4p

That was a poor review. More in excitement and because it was Root. Need restraint. Just 1 left. Tremendous spell this from Siraj. #INDvENG

Siraj: Review it!
Kohli: Rishab, should I review it?
Pant: No. Don't review it.
Kohli: OK, I'll review it.
Pant: …
Kohli: Risabh! Why you made me review it?
Rishabh: Arrey…!(Translated for family audiences.)
