It was a dramatic end to the fourth day’s play on day 4 of the Lord’s Test. While the Indian batsmen wanted the light offered to them, the England bowlers wanted the game to carry on. Finally, after a lot of deliberation, the day was called off due to poor light by the umpires. India ended the day on 181/6 with a lead of 154 runs. Ideally, the side would want to add another 100 runs to that lead before asking England to chase down the score.
Meanwhile, the animated interaction between Rishabh Pant and Joe Root was another funny part of the day’s play. The duo were seen talking about something which was noticed on Twitter. It then evoked the emotions of Indian fans who started making memes on the England skipper.

Joe Root has already hit two centuries in the Test series and has looked head and shoulders above the other batsmen. He also went past 9000 Test runs and nw only sits behind Sir Alastair Cook as England’s highest run-getter in Test cricket.
The hosts have their noses ahead in the Lord’s Test with Moeen Ali turning the game around by picking two quick wickets in the final succession. He dismissed Rahane and Jadeja to had the initiative back to England ahead of the fifth day.
Former Indian batsman Aakash Chopra also said that he is backing England to win the Test match on the final day.
“You can kill me for that, I am saying England to win. I feel England will win this encounter because the pitch has become slower but not deteriorated. An odd ball is staying low or climbing, it is not a variable bounce that might disturb you and it is not going to turn that much” Chopra said on his Youtube channel.
