India’s right-arm pacer Mohammed Shami slammed his second fifty in Test cricket in the second test match against England at the Lord’s cricket ground. The pacer walked in to bat at 194 for seven down after Rishabh Pant was dismissed by Ollie Robinson. He started to take on the England bowlers adding crucial runs to India’s lead.
In the 106th over, Shami slammed a 92m long six, dancing down the wicket against Moeen Ali to complete a quick-fire fifty. An elated Indian dressing room stood up to applaud the pacer’s knock.
A humongous six brings up the 50 for Shami, along with a huge round of applause at Lords! 🇮🇳

Here is how Twitter reacted to Mohammed Shami’s fifty:
Former India cricketer VVS Laxman praised Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah’s partnership for the last wicket. He wrote, “Waah! Mazaa aa gaya. What a wonderful partnership between Shami and Bumrah. They may not have the best of techniques but from experience i Can say that bowlers have a big heart. And Ishant, Shami and Bumrah have displayed just that today at a decisive stage in the #LordsTest.”

Shami at #3 would mean we can pick an extra bowler?

Perhaps India’s best session of the series yet, Shami and Bumrah retrieving the situation from a near hopeless position. Well played! 👏👏👏

Don't know what to call Shami & Bumrah now. Opening bowlers or closing batsmen?#INDvENG

Nothing gets a dressing-room together like a partnership from a pair of tailenders & not sure either Bumrah or Shami ever imagined a hero’s welcome at the Lord’s balcony for their batting #EngvIND pic.twitter.com/0zAxO8ciPE

Look at the reception for Shami and Bumrah. The whole team came down to ground floor instead of the first one.
Well deserved. Such moments define away tours. Well done.

With all due respect, feature this half-century by Shami on a seperate Lord's Honors Board. #EngvInd
