IPL 2021: Match 49 – KKR vs SRH – 3 Key Battles To Watch Out In MPL Fantasy Cricket

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on the Sunrise Hyderabad (SRH) in match 49 of the Indian Premier League 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, October 3.

Eoin Morgan led- KKR needs to win all their remaining fixtures to qualify for the IPL 2021 playoffs. The biggest challenge for the KKR management will be to select a balanced playing X1 to increase their chances of winning their fixtures. Andre Russell getting injured mid-way of the tournament is a big blow for KKR leaving opened ended options for the 4th bowling option. Iyer and Rana who was considered as the 4th bowling options were costly in their last encounter against PKBS which costed the match.

SRH are going to fight their way out for finishing the IPL 2021 season on a good note. Despite, their losses, Kane Williamson has looked positive each time they have stepped onto the field. Skipper Kane Williamson has looked in good touch and will look to continue the same form against the struggling KKR.

On this note, let’s take a look at the 3 key battles from the KKR vs SRH clash in Dubai for MPL fantasy cricket:

#1. Wriddhiman Saha – Sunil Narine

Wriddhiman Shah hasn’t had his best IPL performance so far in the season. He will look to turn that down in the next encounter against KKR. One of the biggest obstacles he’s going to face will be the experienced bowling of Sunil Narine. He’s played 10 innings with 70 runs under his belt against Narine. Narine has had the better of the Wicket-keeper batsmen as he’s dismissed Saha 3 times in 10 innings.

In the encounter against the Kolkata Knight Riders, the Wicket-keeper batsmen is likely to face veteran Sunil Narine early in the innings, mostly in the first power-play itself. Morgan will try and put pressure over out-of-form Saha who’s not amongst the runs for SRH this IPL season.

While the odds are towards the Carreibien bowler Sunil Narine, it will be interesting to see Saha’s approach and Narine’s experience clash in Match 49 of the IPL 2021 season.

2. Shubman Gill – Rashid Khan

KKR opener Shubman Gill has started his innings with power-pack shots all throughout the season but is unable to convert them into big scores. One of the reason’s for that is Rashid Khan when he plays against SRH. Afghan Cricketer Rashid Khan has had the better of Gill most of the time.

Gill has only managed to score 23 runs in 6 innings against World.no 1 Rashid Khan while he dismissing him 2 times in 6 meetings. It will be interesting to see what plans does Shubman gill has against the World no-1 tomorrow in match 49 of the IPL 2021 season.

#3. Nitish Rana – Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Both the Indian players Nitish Rana and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have struggled their way out throughout the season. Both the players have had a quiet IPL season so far. However, the 2016 Purple cap holder Bhuvneshwar Kumar has the upper hand while facing KKR’s top-order batsmen Nitish Rana. Rana has managed to score only 39 odd runs in 7 innings against the Indian pacer. Kumar has clenched Rana’s wickets 2 times in 7 meetings.

A must-win game for the Morgan army, will be interesting to see how Rana makes his way out to the middle and goes about his batting keeping in mind his personal contribution to the team as well.
