Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali did not have the best of campaigns in the T20 World Cup. In six matches, the Sialkot player bowled 23 overs and conceded 207 runs, bagging only five wickets in the process. He had his worst moment when he dropped Matthew Wade’s catch with Australia needing 20 off 10 at that moment. Wade then struck three back to back sixes to Shaheen Afridi to win the game for Australia.

Meanwhile, after Pakistan’s exit from the World Cup, Hasan Ali has apologised to the fans and supporters of Pakistan cricket.

“I know you all are upset because my performance didn’t meet your expectations … but [you] are not more disappointed than me. Don’t change your expectations from me. I want to serve [the] Pakistan cricket at the highest level possible, so back to hard work. This patch will make stronger” Ali wrote on Twitter.

The Pakistan pacer got victimised and trolled on social media when skipper Babar Azam stated that “the dropped catch was the turning point in the game.”

Some of his teammates including Shadab Khan backed him despite his poor show in the T20 Worl Cup campaign.

“@RealHa55an you are a champion.”The entire team is with you. “We are all human beings capable of errors. Remember the joy Hasan has given you, don’t do personal attacks please. He is Pakistan’s match-winner” he said.

After saying that Hasan’s drop catch was the turning point of the game, Babar also said that as a player you have good days and bad days but he will keep backing Ali.

“He is my main bowler and he has won many matches for Pakistan. Players drop catches but he is a fighter and I will back him. Everybody doesn’t perform everyday. There is a day when one performs, it was just not his day. He is down and we will lift his mood. People will talk but we keep playing” said Babar.
