Kieron Pollard is hailed as one of the best all-rounders in the shortest format of the game. The West Indies cricketer is currently leading the Scarlet Ibis Scorchers in the Trinidad T10 Blast.
In their recent match against the Leatherback Giants, Pollard found himself opposite Nicholas Pooran. Kieron is the captain of the West Indies cricket team while Pooran is his deputy. The match saw a face-off between the two cricketers. Pollard, who usually bowls medium-pace, was seen bowling off-spin against Pooran in the match.
The left-hander tried to switch his stance, to a right-hander, which rattled Pollard. He in his strides before throwing the ball at Nicholas Pooran. Later in the match, the West Indies skipper also tried to run out Nicholas Pooran at the non-striker’s end. A video of the incident was posted on social media.

The Scarlet Ibis Scorchers lost the match by seven wickets. Batting first, they posted 128/3 in their 10 overs, with Pollard hitting 27 off 14 balls. In reply, the Leatherback Giants chased it down in just 6.2 overs.
Nicholas Pooran smashed an unbeaten on 101 off 37 deliveries, which included six fours and ten sixes. Kieron Pollard conceded 21 runs from his two overs in the match.

West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard will be again representing the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. He was retained by the franchise before the IPL auctions. The all-rounder has been a part of the franchise since 2010 and has been an integral part of the team.
On the other hand, Nicholas Pooran has been signed by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whopping sum of INR 10.75 crore. He played for the Punjab Kings in the previous edition of the tournament. The Indian Premier League kicks off on March 26 in Mumbai.
