[Watch] Huge Mix-Up Costs Chennai Super Kings Ambati Rayudu’s Wicket

The Chennai Super Kings are in deep trouble against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium in the opening clash of IPL 2022. Ambati Rayudu, who looked good at the crease, has been sent back packing by Shreyas Iyer.

Ambati Rayudu came out to bat in the fifth over after Umesh Yadav dismissed Devon Conway for just three runs. He slammed a six and a boundary in his short stay at the crease. A huge mix-up between him and the Chennai Super Kings skipper Ravindra Jadeja resulted in Rayudu’s dismissal.

In the ninth over, Jadeja pushed a ball off the back foot towards the short midwicket off Sunil Narine. Ambati Rayudu, who was at the non-striker’s end, ran down the pitch and was almost in the middle when Jadeja did not look eager, denied the run.

Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer threw the ball towards Narine, who made no mistake to take the wickets off in time.
