Lucknow Super Giants’ young batter Ayush Badoni continue to impress everyone with his calm demeanour only in his second game in the IPL. He once again played an instrumental role as Lucknow registered their first-even win in the IPL.
Ayush came out to bat in the 18th over with LSG still needing 40 runs in 14 balls. The 22-year-old brought a blazing strike over the square-leg fielder of the first ball of the 19th over of Shivam Dube.
Ayush Badoni shuffled across to launch Shivam Dube into the stands. However, the ball landed straight on the head of a female fan. Dressed in yellow, little did the lady know what was about to happen when the Chennai vs Lucknow match was nearing its conclusion.
Replays showed that a lady tried to catch the ball but wasn’t successfule. The ball slipped through her hands and hit directly on her head.

Fortunately, no serious damage was done. Although, she was seen rubbing her head for a few moments after the incident. Someone from the stadium staff also seemed to have attended the lady later to ensure that she was fine.

Batting first, defending champions Chennai Super Kings racked up 210 runs on the board on the back of some brilliant display from the top-order.
Robin Uthappa gave CSK a blazing start with a half-century before Moeen Ali and Shivam Dube thrashed the bowlers to post a total in excess of 200.
However, Lucknow Super Giants got off to swashbuckling start with KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock putting together 99 runs for the first wicket. Although Chennai came back in the game with a couple of wickets, Ayush Badoni and Evin Lewis ensured they go through with three balls to spare.
