Punjab Kings (PBKS) fielding coach Jonty Rhodes won hearts with his heartwarming gesture after their game against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Wednesday night. Rhodes, who is one of the most loved overseas cricketers in India, was seen touching Sachin Tendulkar’s feet and seeking his blessings.

Rhodes has been travelling to India since his playing days. Once he hung his boots, the South African superstar has been associated with IPL teams in the Indian Premier League. Hence, he shares a very cordial relationship with the Indian cricketers and the people of the country.

Meanwhile, after the game against Mumbai Indians, the teams were seen shaking hands as usual and Jonty Rhodes came across Sachin Tendulkar. He playfully tried to touch Tendulkar’s feet to take his blessings. Rhodes has previously worked alongside Tendulkar when he was part of the Mumbai franchise.

“We aren’t playing good cricket” – Rohit Sharma on Mumbai Indians’ five defeats on the trot

Reacting to the five straight defeats, Rohit Sharma admitted that they have not played up to the standards. The 34-year-old asserted that 198 was a chasebale target and that they need to prepare well and come back stronger for the next game.

“We aren’t playing good cricket, we need to understand some situations and execute according to it. They got off to a flier, put our bowlers was under pressure, but the pitch was good to bat on and I thought 198 was chaseable. As I said earlier, we need to go back to the drawing room and come back better prepared,” Rohit said at the end of the game against Punjab.
