He has been fantastic so far – Selector on Dinesh Karthik

The selector also added that if Karthik continues to assert his supremacy in the ongoing IPL, there is no reason that he won’t be selected for the upcoming assignments.

“He has been fantastic so far, no doubt. But he has played just six games and there are 8-10 games left. If he continues to do well, we have the South Africa series just after the IPL. If the team management and other selectors agree, I don’t see a reason why he should not be recalled” the selector added.

Nevertheless, the other contenders Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant are on the track for the position. Besides, it’s supposed that Pant will be the first-choice wicket-keeper for the Indian team, regardless of his form.
