Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by 6 wickets in their encounter at Wankhede stadium in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League. With this win, Rajasthan Royals have 14 points and they are currently in a secured position for the race of playoffs.
While chasing the mammoth target of 190 runs , Orange cap holder Jos Buttler gave an aggressive start to Rajasthan Royals in the Powerplay. Jos Buttler smashed 30 runs in 16 balls before he was dismissed by Rabada. Samson too played a small cameo of 23 runs in 12 balls to bring down the required run rate.
Jaiswal carried the momentum forward and took the aggressive role in middle overs. He scored so many boundaries behind the wicket. Jaiswal scored 68 runs in 41 balls. Arshdeep Singh took the crucial wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal in the 15th Over. RR needed 47 runs in their last five overs to win.
With the help of brilliant innings of 31 runs in 16 balls from Hetmyer, Rajasthan reached the target safely with 2 balls to spare. Hetmyer has been in amazing form in IPL 2022. Arshdeep in the end tried to pull back things for Punjab Kings , but that wasn’t good enough.

A very important win for RR. First win chasing and move up closer to the play-offs. Still No.4 issue to be addressed for them. Padikkal struggled big time today in moving on. But still a very important 2 points. @rajasthanroyals; @gurkiratsgill; #RR; #TATAIPL2022;

Jos Buttler goes for 30 in 16 balls after 6,4,4,2,4 to Kagiso Rabada.

This Rabada Buttler battle was very much like Nortje Buttler from 2020.
In the end, bowler had the last laugh. Buttler's team lost that day. Will that be the case today too?

Shimron Hetmyer turing out to be an awesome finisher.

Jitesh Sharma guides Punjab Kings to 189 runs
Punjab Kings while batting first got a great start in powerplay. Jonny Bairstow took full advantage of field restrictions in powerplay. However Dhawan was dismissed cheaply on a score of 12 runs. Rajapaksa carried this momentum forward and scored 27 runs off 18 balls. Bairstow scored his first fifty of this season.
In the 14th over of the game, Chahal dismissed both Jonny Bairstow and Mayank Agarwal within a span of 3 balls to completely shift the momentum towards Rajasthan. However in the end, Jitesh Sharma scored 38 runs in 18 balls and Liam Livingstone scored 22 runs in 14 balls which helped Punjab reach a total of 189 runs.
