Defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) suffered a big blow when their star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of the remaining season of IPL 2022. While it was reported that Jadeja was ruled out due to injury, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra believes there is something more to the story.
Incidentally, Jadeja suffered a rib injury while fielding against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Following that, he missed CSK’s fixture against Delhi Capitals. And now suddenly the Super Kings have announced that Ravindra Jadeja won’t be part of this year’s campaign any longer and has left the bubble.
However, several cricket fans feel that Jadeja has been dropped from the CSK team due to his poor performance. Cricket expert commentator Aakash Chopra too expressed his views on this topic. He believes that Ravindra Jadeja won’t be seen in the CSK jersey next year.
“Jadeja won’t be there for this match. But I am getting a thought that maybe he won’t even be there next year. This happens in the Chennai camp that you don’t exactly know what has happened to the player when he is injured or gets dropped. A similar thing happened to Suresh Raina in 2021. After some games, they suddenly left him out,” said Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel.

However, Chennai CEO Kasi Viswanathan has rubbished all rumours of the rift between the franchise and the cricketer. He also said that Ravindra Jadeja firmly remains in the CSK scheme of things for the future.
“Social media, I absolutely do not follow anything. I have no knowledge of what is going on there. What I can tell you is that from the management side, there has been no problem and whatever is there on social media, I’m not aware. Jadeja firmly remains in the CSK’s scheme of things for the future, always,” Viswanathan told Indian Express.
