Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are facing each other at Wankhede stadium in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL). This match is a must win game for Delhi Capitals to reach the playoffs. While Mumbai Indians would look to end their season on a winning note.
After being invited to bat first, Delhi Capitals didn’t get a good start. They lost the early wicket of in-form batsman David Warner. Daniel Sams took the important Wicket of Warner. Soon, Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Mitchell Marsh. The Australian all rounder couldn’t open his account today.
The Capitals were dependent on Prithvi Shaw to take them to a good total. But Shaw failed to do so today in the just win game. Bumrah bowled a short ball angling in towards the body of Shaw in the 6th over of game. Prithvi thought of playing the upper cut but the ball bounced steeply. The youngster from Mumbai tried to fall behind but the ball touched the gloves.
After touching the gloves, the ball reached Mumbai Indians wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan who took a brilliant catch by diving forward. Shaw could manage to score only 24 runs in 23 balls. Prithvi Shaw was making a comeback in this match after missing the previous two matches for Delhi Capitals.

“We want to finish on a high” – Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma
Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to field first on a slow pitch. The Mumbai captain is desperate to finish the campaign with a win over Delhi Capitals.
Rohit Sharma at toss said “We’ll look to restrict them and later bat freely. We were inconsistent and failed to perform collectively. The focus has been on that. We’ve tried in the last few games with an eye on the future. But winning is important as that gives confidence. We want to finish on a high.”
A win for Mumbai will see Royal Challengers Bangalore progress through to the playoffs while Delhi will go through if they beat Mumbai Indians.
