The Board of Control for Cricket in India president Sourav Ganguly’s latest tweet has caused confusion leading to various speculations. The former cricketer expressed that he planning to start something which will help a lot of people.

On Wednesday, Sourav Ganguly took to Twitter to post a message for his fans. He stated that 2022 marks thirty years since Sourav Ganguly made his India debut. The BCCI president further thanked his fans for their support throughout his journey.

The former India cricketer wrote, “2022 marks the 30th year since the start of my journey with cricket in 1992. Since then, cricket has given me a lot. Most importantly, it has given me the support of all of you. I want to thank every single person who has been a part of the journey, supported me, and helped me reach where I am today.”

“Today I am planning to start something that I feel will probably help a lot of people. I hope you continue your support as I enter this chapter of my life,” he added.

Sourav Ganguly did not mention anything else about his new venture in the tweet. This led to a lot of confusion as people started speculating about his new plans. Some handles posted that the former India skipper will be joining politics. However, the claim has yet been confirmed.

After Ganguly posted a tweet about starting something new, rumors started doing the rounds about the BCCI president. Some Twitter had handles suggested that Ganguly has quit the BCCI President’s position. However, the BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah refuted the speculations.

Speaking to the ANI, Shah confirmed that Sourav Ganguly remains the BCCI President. He said, “Sourav Ganguly has not resigned as the president of BCCI.”

Meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly is yet to disclose any further updates about his new venture.
