In an unusual incident, a groundstaff was spotted in the Indian dug-out during the fifth and final T20I against South Africa at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, June 19. It took place before the start of the match, as rain delayed the proceedings
Indian batter Ruturaj Gaikwad who was padded up to open the innings was waiting in the dugout for the rain to stop. At that time a ground staff came to the Indian dugout and sat near Ruturaj Gaikwad. The staff member tried to take a selfie with the Indian cricketer.
However, Ruturaj Gaikwad was clearly disappointed with the behavior and denied the selfie. The video of the incident was captured on camera and has been shared on social media. Some fans criticized Ruturaj Gaikwad, while some pointed it out as a security breach.
