Pacer Umran Malik is all set to make his India debut in the first T20I against Ireland on Sunday, June 26 in Dublin (Malahide). He received his maiden India call-up earlier this year for the T20I series against South Africa at home. However, could not get a game in the series. Umran’s raw, fierce pace and the ability to consistently clock 150 kmph, earned him many accolades from former cricketers.
On Sunday, before the toss of the first T20I, the youngster received his T20I cap from veteran Indian pacer Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. He will become the 98th player to represent India in the T20I format. The Board of Control for Cricket in India took to its social media handles, to announce Umran Malik’s debut.

Toss for the first T20I between India and Ireland delayed due to rain
The toss for the first T20I between Ireland and India is delayed in Dublin due to a wet outfield. The Groundstaff had covered the pitch as the rain made its way to the stadium. However, at the moment the rain has stopped and the groundstaff is back on the ground.
All-rounder Hardik Pandya will be leading the Indian team in this T20I series against Ireland. This marks his captaincy debut for India. With the ICC T20 World Cup in sight, the Indian players will be keen to make an impact against Ireland. The two-match T20I series will end with the second T20I on June 28 in Dublin.
