CWC19: Pakistan Media Takes A Dig At Abhinandan Varthaman

In the wake of India versus Pakistan”s World Cup match, Pakistan media has released it”s promotional clip, where they are seen taking a dig at Abhinandan Varthaman.

Abhinandan Varthaman is a wing-commander in the Indian Air Force. He was held captive in Pakistan for 60 hours in the Balakot Air Strike. Here, he can be seen telling the Pakistan officials, “I am not supposed to be telling you.”

Abhinandan was then released by the Pakistan Government as a “peace gesture”, quoted by Pakistan”s Prime Minister Imran Khan.

On 16th June 2019, the stage is all set to witness a classic India-Pakistan rivalry match. The outing is at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Here the man can be seen imitating wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman. His reply of “I am not supposed to tell you that sir” is a parody of the bold reply given by the Indian commander.

The advertisement has surely plucked a sensitive string in many Indian hearts.
