England defeated India by 17 runs in the final T20I at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Sunday. But the Indian team still managed to win the T20I series by 2-1, winning the first two games. It was a great series win for the Men in Blue give that hosts are a strong team in white ball cricket. The Indian team played with a fearless approach in this series. However, Virat Kohli failed to create his impact in T20I series, managing only 12 runs in the two matches he played.
Even former cricketers including Virender Sehwag, Venkatesh Prasad, Kapil Dev believe that Virat should be dropped from the T20I squad and in-form youngsters should be given chances. However, Kedar Jadhav has come in support of Virat Kohli amid all the criticisms for his extended lean patch with the bat.
Kedar Jadhav shared the statement of Rohit Sharma where he has backed Virat Kohli to come back in form. In the pic, it was written, ” We will back Virat Kohli. He performed consistently for a decade. We believe in his quality“. It was great to see Kedar Jadhav supporting his former captain.

Rohit Sharma also put weight behind the former India captain, saying that the management is not bothered by ‘outside noise’. Addressing reporters after the T20Is, he said:
“It is not difficult for us as we do not listen to the outside noise. I don’t know who the experts are. I don’t even understand why they are called experts. They are watching it from the outside, they don’t know what is going on inside.”
“Players can’t be written off after 2 bad series “: Rohit Sharma on form of Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli scored one run in 2nd T20I and 11 runs in the 3rd T20I. In both games, Virat looked in a bit of a hurry and gave away his wicket. Many fans have called for the dropping of the talismanic run-scorer from the T20I squad with the likes of in-form Deepak Hooda waiting in the wings.
However, Rohit Sharma fully backed the calibre of Virat Kohli. “When some player has done so well consistently for so long, that can’t be written off in one or two series or one or two years. It takes people time to understand it completely, but those who are running the team know the importance of that quality,” said Indian captain Rohit Sharma.
