Mohammed Shami who had a bad time since a couple of weeks has been given B grade contract by the BCCI. Shami has been now cleared by the BCCI and is allowed to represent DD in the IPL.
It is to be noted that Shami had been filed under several sections of IPC by Kolkata police after his wife”s allegations on him for his extramarital affairs.
The DD management wished Shami for retaining his BCCI contract and ensuring his availability to represent their team in the IPL 2018.

It will be interesting to see how threatening can Rabada and Shami be to the opponents provided they are at their brutal best. Addition of Trent Boult will be a delight to the DD fans who are expecting them to clinch their first title.
Gautam Gambhir will lead DD, his home franchise after his successful captaincy at the KKR.
Shami himself expressed his happiness in his Twitter handle. He quoted “Thanks for being with me in the difficult times. I will play and keep playing for the country. Thank you all for the belief you had in me”.

Though injuries have been a part of his short spanned limited-overs career, Shami has proved his capabilities to be a full-time test bowler by providing vital breakthroughs for India in whites. He had played a phenomenal role in clinching the victory against SA in the third test at Johannesburg earlier this year helping India to maintain their undefeated streak at the venue.
