A warrior in a true sense, Rahul Tewatia proved once again that you will achieve success if you don’t give up; both in the cricket field and in life. After a horrific start with only a couple of runs from the first 19 deliveries; Tewatia changed the plot in a matter of just five balls as Rajasthan Royals pulled off the greatest possible heist.
Yesterday’s knock perfectly symbolises Rahul Tewatia and his cricketing career – never give up. Although the 27-year-old has had a short journey so far; but the all-rounder has made sure he gets everything he deserves.

At a time, when the entire world crashed upon him including his batting partner Sanju Samson, Tewatia had the belief in himself and knew that he was only one six away. With pressure mounting, Samson, who played another gem of a knock, stopped taking singles to shoulder the responsibility alone.
The chips were down as the run-rate cropped up but Rahul Tewatia held his nerves. He didn’t give up and waited for the right opportunity. The opportunity came and the all-rounder from Haryana proved once again that fortunes favour the brave.
Tewatia launched a carnage in the 18th over hitting five sixes off Sheldon Cottrell’s over to bring down the equation. He then struck another massive one off Mohammed Shami to bring his half-century (53 off 31 balls) before getting out. Although he went back, but Rahul Tewatia had pulled off the unimaginable.
