Everyone is excited and looking forward to IPL 2020 that will kick off from next month in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Popular commentator and analyst Aakash Chopra is no different as his enthusiasm can bee noticed in all his YouTube videos. Recently on his Youtube Channel, he made his pick among Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell Starc, Lasith Malinga, Rashid Khan and Sunil Narine to bowl in a Super Over.
This was a tricky choice as all the bowlers are world-class and pure match-winners in the T20 format. Chopra, in the end, picked the trusted Mumbai Indians duo of Malinga and Bumrah to do the job for him in the super over.

The former cricketer believes that both fast bowlers are extremely accurate with their Yorkers and slower deliveries against which batsmen are unable to execute big strokes. He especially lauded India speedster Bumrah and recalled his amazing super over in a match against Brendon McCullum.
He said, “Lasith Malinga, the lion might have grown old but has not forgotten how to catch its prey. Being an Indian and having seen him (Bumrah) from close quarters, I will go with him. Jasprit Bumrah will be my pick ahead of Mitchell Starc because Starc may bowl a boundary ball once in a while but Bumrah with his accurate slower ones and yorkers and different style of action makes him special”.
“Jasprit Bumrah, I remember a Super Over he had bowled against Gujarat Lions where they had Brendon McCullum and I think Dwayne Smith, one of the West Indian batsmen and they couldn’t touch the ball with the bat. In between, he bowled a no-ball as well, despite that he was not hit for runs”, added Chopra.
Meanwhile, the likes of Bumrah, Malinga, Narine and Rashid Khan will make a comeback to cricket in IPL 2020. However, Starc withdrew from this year’s IPL much earlier to prepare for T20 World Cup. However, ICC postponed the global event owing to COVID-19.
The Aussie pacer will be next in action during the four-match Test series against India after the completion of IPL this year. Meanwhile, Aakash Chopra is likely to work actively as a commentator throughout the IPL that will be contested between September 19- November 10.
