While most of the cricketers are locked inside their rooms in the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, Bengal captain Abhimanyu Easwaran is training hard in his own academy in Dehradun along with various domestic cricketers.

Easwaran, who had a moderate season with the bat, is slogging out from the last two month to prepare well for the upcoming domestic season. While he led Bengal to the Ranji Trophy finals where they lost to Saurashtra, the India probable to will be desperate to put run against his name in the next season.

Training hard to realise my goal: Abhimanyu Easwaran

It was his first season as the Bengal skipper and Abhimanyu Easwaran did reasonably well with a young side. The prolific run-scorer is confident that they will do better in the next season. On the personal front, Abhimanyu wants to score runs on every opportunity to achieves his goal of representing India.

“We lost narrowly. Nevertheless, it was a good experience and we will perform better. Personally, also, I want to do better, make a lot of runs and try to win trophies. My goal is playing for India and I will use every opportunity to put runs against my name and chase my dream,’’ The Indian Express quoted Abhimanyu.

Furthermore, Abhimanyu Easwaran revealed that they were following the government’s order to train. All the players and coaching staffs were staying in the residential area of the academy. The talented youngster also gave a good tour of their schedule in the famous Abhimanyu Easwaran Academy.

“All the players and coaches were staying in the residential facility. We could train easily. We had skills session in the morning including batting, bowling and fielding. Physical training sessions were held later.

I also had open nets sessions for situation training. I was focussing on improving my shot selection through various drills. Plus, I also had sessions where we concentrated on power hitting,’’ he explained.

Currently, Abhimanyu is waiting to return to his second home in Kolkata and resume training at the Eden Gardens. He is also looking forward to the for the schedule for the upcoming season to come out.
