SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Abhishek Sharma was recently asked which quality he would like to adopt from former Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma. The young batter expressed his admiration for Rohit’s fearless approach, stating that he wishes to incorporate the same mindset into his game.
Abhishek highlighted that he is a huge fan of Rohit’s aggression and confidence, noting that when the veteran batter is in form, he has the ability to dominate and turn matches into one-sided contests. Speaking to Star Sports, the SRH star shared his thoughts (via @Shikha_003 on X):
“I have always liked his fearless approach. I feel that when he scores runs, he makes the match one-sided.”

Rohit Sharma has struggled in IPL 2025, managing just 0, 8, and 13 in MI’s first three games. The five-time champions, led by Hardik Pandya, have won only once in three matches and sit fifth on the points table. They face LSG in Lucknow on Friday, April 4.
Abhishek Sharma Still Searching for a Breakthrough Knock in IPL 2025
Abhishek Sharma started his IPL 2025 campaign with a brisk 24 off 11 balls in SRH’s 44-run victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) at home. However, he could only manage six runs off as many balls in the next home game against LSG, where SRH faced a five-wicket defeat.
In their first away match, Hyderabad suffered a seven-wicket loss to Delhi Capitals (DC) at their adopted home ground, Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Abhishek was dismissed for just one run after being run out.
SRH currently sit in eighth place on the points table. They are set to face defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday, April 3, in a rematch of last season’s final.
