“Absolutely Fit And Fine” –Virat Kohli’s Brother Refutes False Information Regarding Their Mother’s Well-Being

Vikas Kohli, the brother of Virat Kohli, has debunked circulating rumors about their mother Saroj’s health. Virat Kohli opted to miss the first two Tests against England for personal reasons.

The response came after certain reports suggested that Kohli took a temporary break from the Test series due to his mother’s health. However, dismissing these speculations on Wednesday, January 31, Vikas addressed the issue on his Instagram story.

“I have noticed that there is this fake news about our mom’s health been circulating around. Let me clear that our mom is absolutely fit and fine. Also, I would request everyone, and also the media, not to spread such news without proper information. Thanks everyone for your concern.”

Virat Kohli is expected to return for the final three Tests of the five-match series. The right-handed batsman aims to reach the milestone of 2000 runs against England in Tests, as he currently has accumulated 1991 runs in 50 Test innings against them, featuring five centuries and nine half-centuries.

“They miss Virat Kohli’s captaincy massively in Test cricket” –Michael Vaughan’s reaction to India’s 28-run loss in the Hyderabad Test

Former England captain Michael Vaughan has expressed criticism towards India’s captain Rohit Sharma while offering special commendation for Virat Kohli’s leadership.

Vaughan’s remarks followed England’s victory by 28 runs in the first Test, where they set a 231-run target despite a 190-run deficit in the first innings. The former cricketer-turned-commentator shared his views on the Club Prairie Fire Show on YouTube.

“They miss Virat Kohli’s captaincy massively in Test cricket. Under Virat’s captaincy that week, India wouldn’t have lost the game. Rohit is a legend and a great player but I felt he just switched off completely.”

Leading the team, Kohli holds the record for the most successful Indian Test captain, steering the Men in Blue to 40 victories in 68 matches from 2014 to 2022. In comparison, MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly led India to 27 and 21 Test wins, respectively.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma has led India to six victories in 12 Tests. Notably, he played a crucial role in India securing a 1-1 draw in the recent two-match Test series in South Africa.
