Despite the unconventional spectacle, the focus eventually shifted to the cricketing action, with the Northern Warriors setting a target of 107 runs for the Chennai Braves. In a swift response, the Braves successfully chased down the target in just 9.4 overs, securing victory in the match.
Sikandar Raza emerged as the star performer for Chennai, contributing significantly with a brisk 27 runs off 10 deliveries. Other notable contributions came from Charith Asalanka (22 off 16) and Stephen Eskinazi (22 off 13).
For the Northern Warriors, Hazratullah Zazai displayed an impressive batting performance, scoring 54 runs off 32 balls. Mohammad Nabi, his national side teammate, excelled as the leading bowler, finishing with figures of 2/11 in two overs. Adam Hose added valuable runs, scoring 24 off 10 balls, enabling the Warriors to post a challenging total of 106 runs.
Both teams, having played four games each, currently stand with two wins and two losses, positioning them just outside the top four on the points table.
