Akshay Karnewar stuns the Australian batsmen by bowling with two arms

The cricketer from Maharashtra, Akshay Karnewar has produced a unique quality while playing for the Board President XI against the touring Australian team in Chennai. The bowler was seen bowling with both the arms which are a rare sight on the cricket field.

Akshay Karnewar made use of his both the hands to bamboozle the batsmen and eventually got the wicket of Travis Head after bowling six over’s giving away 59 runs. The promising bowler started bowling right handed but soon changed his bowling arm after his coach advised him because there were less left-arm bowlers. However, his teammates encouraged him to bowl with both the hands.

Batting first after winning the toss the Aussies posted a massive total of 347 runs for 7 wickets in their quota of 50 over’s. David Warner continued his good form with the bat scoring a quick fire 64 off just 48 balls. Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis and Travis Head also chipped in with their individual half-centuries. The Kings XI Punjab cricketer Marcus Stoinis tops the scoring chart with 76 runs hitting four boundaries and five sixes.

Washington Shundar and Kushang Patel picked up two wickets each for Board President Side while Avesh Khan, Khejroliya and Karnewar bagged one each.

Chasing a mammoth total, India lost the early wicket of Rahul Tripathi. Shreevats Goswami and Mayank Aggarwal steadied the innings with a partnership of 79 runs before Aggarwal got to an Adam Zampa delivery at 42.

Ashton Agar bowled a brilliant spell picking up three wickets to reduce the team to 156 runs for 7 wickets before Akshay Karnewar proved his worth with bat scoring 40 runs off just 28 balls. The Indian side was bundled out for 244 runs giving Australia a good start in the subcontinent.

Australia will lock horns with the Virat Kohli led the side in a five match ODI encounter followed by three T20I starting from September 17.
