“ALEX HALES NOT HOLDING BACK” – Twitter Reacts To Hale-Storm In Adelaide Against India
Alex Hales won the Player of the Match.

Alex Hales starred with the bat as England thrashed India by 10 wickets in the second semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday, November 10. Jos Buttler and Co. will now play against Pakistan in the final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Hales, who wasn’t in the initial squad of the T20 World Cup came as a replacement for Jonny Bairstow. Hales, who hasn’t been part of the national set-up since 2019 has redeemed himself after creating a storm in Adelaide.

Hales has ripped apart the Indian bowling attack and has just been dealing in maximums. The square boundaries are easily cleared by him. He remained unbeaten on 86 off 47 balls, including four boundaries and seven maximums.

Fans showered praise on Alex Hales after his blistering knock at the Adelaide Oval. Let’s look at some Twitter reactions to this innings by Hales:

Akex Hales, who just focuses on the T20 format, has the experience of playing in T20 leagues all around the world. In the BBL he represents Sydney Thunder and has scored the maximum runs by any batter in the past three editions of the BBL. Therefore the Sydney Thunder picked him again in the BBL draft for this edition.

He also achieved the feat of scoring 2000 T20I runs and became the third person after Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler. He was unable to find his feet in the first two matches of the tournament but in his last three innings, he has found his feet and has provided the team with match-winning performances.

India crash out of ICC T20 World Cup 2022

India was unable to pick up any wickets today and was rattled from the first ball courtesy of Buttler which was continued by Hales and both these batters have crossed the 150-run mark which is a record partnership.

India scored 168-6 courtesy of Hardik Pandya and Virat Kohli’s half-centuries. England has won by 10 wickets and has four overs to spare. The openers have actually hammered the mighty Indians. India’s affair with poor runs in the semi-finals has just continued.

Given that England has already booked their flight to Melbourne to play Pakistan in the finals on Sunday. It will be a repeat fixture of the 1992 50 over the World Cup. Similar to the 2019 world cup which was the Ben Stokes redemption story can this world cup be the Alex Hales redemption story?
