The England Cricket Board has announced their 15-man squad for the upcoming edition of cricket world cup 2019 a few days ago. Most of the experts have already started making their predictions that the hosts will have greater chances of decimating the opponents on account of their recent performances. It is to be noted that England hasn”t won the tournament even once and the players will be eyeing for the maiden title.

However, a major announcement from one of the players has shook the board and the team. Alex Hales, the limited-overs specialist has decided to take an “indefinite” break from cricket citing personal reasons. This was very unexpected from the camp as the side is gearing up for their Pakistan and Ireland series as well as the World tournament in a months” time.

England will playfew limited over Internationals against Pakistan and Ireland prior to the world cup and it will be interesting if Alex Hales will make up to the side. Alex Hales hasn”t been batting at the opening slot for sometime now as Roy and Bairstow are taking care of the proceedings. But, he proved his worth at the number three position where he proved his blend of destruction and solidity.

The board is expected to know his return to cricket based on which his participation in the cricket world cup will be known.
