Team India opener Ishan Kishan showered praise on teammate Suryakumar Yadav, who has been in terrific form in T20Is. He expressed that Suryakumar Yadav has become an inspiration for the rest of the players. The right-handed batter recently slammed his second T20I century against New Zealand at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.

Suryakumar Yadav smashed 111 runs off just 51 deliveries, to power India to a match-winning total. He has pulled off several such performances with the bat this year. The Indian cricketer is the leading run-scorer in T20Is in 2022 and is currently the highest-ranked batter in the format. His batting has left the fans, experts, and as well as his teammates mesmerized.

Wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan expressed that Suryakumar Yadav makes batting easy, and all the players want to bat like him. He said to Prime Video, as quoted by India Today,

“I badly wanted to be at the non-striker’s end, he makes batting look so easy. All of us want to bat like him. He is so calm every time, I think everything is going according to plan for him.”

We, youngsters, can learn a lot from Suryakumar Yadav

Team India cricketer Ishan Kishan further expressed that Suryakumar Yadav is very professional in managing his sleeping pattern, diet, etc. He added that youngsters like him have a lot to learn from his batting and work ethic. Praising Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan said,

“Off the field, in the last few years I played with him, he is very professional with his hydration and sleeping pattern, and diet. We, youngsters, can learn a lot from him and how he is batting, and his energy and work ethic are always hundred percent.”

In 42 T20Is, Suryakumar Yadav has scored 1408 runs at an average of 44 and a strike rate of 180.97. His run tally includes twelve half-centuries and two centuries, in a small T20I career so far.
