The Women’s Senior T20 Challenger Trophy 2018 would take place between three teams which includes India Red, India Blue and India Green from 14th August to 21st to be played in Alur, Karnataka. Each team will play twice each other and the top two teams will qualify for the finals.
The experienced Mithali Raj, Deepti Sharma and Veda Krishna Murthy would lead the respective sides. The Women’s Senior T20 challenger Trophy began in 2008. India Blue has won this tournament 5 times. Last year in 2018, India Blue defeated India Green to lift the title. This tournament is a local tournament organized by the BCCI. It was played in 50 over format but this year they decided to play in 20 over format.

This tournament helps India to prepare and pick up a team for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in West Indies this November.
13 players have been picked in each team by the BCCI women’s selection committee.
