Arjun Tendulkar was the last player that was picked in the 2021 IPL auction. He was bought by the defending champions Mumbai Indians for his base price. He did not get a chance to play in the first leg of the IPL but the youngster will certainly look to make his debut soon. He was earlier seen taking tips from Zaheer Khan and on Monday. Not only that he was seen learning a few tricks from Dhawal Kulkarni as well.
In a video posted by MI on social media, the 21-year old is seen taking valuable inputs from MI’s director of cricket operations and bowling coach Zaheer Khan. From the actions, it was visible that Tendulkar was trying to learn swing bowling from the veteran player.
The 21-year old has been training with the franchise for a few weeks now. He was a part of the camp when the MI’s domestic players had started their preparations at Jio Stadium in Reliance Corporate Park before leaving the Gulf country. On numerous occasions, Arjun was seen sharing glimpses of his intense batting drills with the fans on his Instagram stories.
Mumbai Look To Dominate Phase-2 Of The IPL
The men in blue are the defending champions and have already begun their practice at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi for the second phase. As the team would hit the grounds on Monday, they will have their fourth practice session in the Gulf country.
They face arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings in the opening game of the second phase. Mumbai currently ranks fourth in the table and will look to win most of their games from here onwards to secure a top-two spot. The rest of the players are currently on national duty and will join the team after the tour of England is over.
