[WATCH] Arshdeep Singh Dismisses Litton Das With A Stunner In The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Warm-Up Match

Litton Das‘ struggles with the bat continued on Saturday during Bangladesh’s T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up match against India in New York. The star opener could only score 6 runs off 8 balls before Arshdeep Singh’s impressive delivery dismissed him. Litton managed to hit just one four, which was against Jasprit Bumrah.

Chasing a tough target of 183, he didn’t stay long at the crease. Arshdeep, bowling the third over of Bangladesh’s innings, delivered a back-of-a-length ball that caught Litton off guard. The ball came in sharply and crashed into the stumps, leaving Litton bewildered on the field.

India dominated the game, with Bangladesh struggling at 27/3 after six overs, thanks to the effective bowling of Arshdeep and Mohammed Siraj. Najmul Hossain Shanto’s team faced significant challenges, trying to rebuild their innings. Towhid Hridoy and Tanzid Hasan were at the crease, aiming to stabilize the innings and set a respectable total to keep their victory hopes alive.

Fans had mixed reactions to Litton Das’ dismissal. Many praised Arshdeep Singh‘s skillful bowling, calling him a genius for his ability to deceive a top batsman like Litton. Social media buzzed with highlights of the dismissal, with fans admiring the precision and sharp movement of the ball.

On the other hand, some fans expressed disappointment in Litton’s continued poor form, hoping he would soon regain his confidence and contribute significantly to his team. The contrasting emotions reflected the high expectations placed on star players in crucial matches.

However, India won the warm-up convincingly by 60 runs. While Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya did well with the bat, Arshdeep Singh, Shivam Dube shone with the ball, claiming 2 wickets each.

Rohit Sharma said after the win: “Quite happy with how things went, got what we wanted with the game. Important to get used to conditions. New venue, new ground and drop-in pitch. (On Pant batting at 3) Just to give him an opportunity. We haven’t nailed the batting line-up yet, we wanted most guys to get a hit in the middle. (On Arshdeep) He has shown us he has the skills upfront and also the backend, he has a very good skill set. We’ve got good 15 players here, just need to nail down the conditions and pick the best players.”
