Team India cricketer Hardik Pandya has been in terrific form since his comeback to the team this year. He performed exceedingly well in the Indian Premier League 2022 season leading the Gujarat Titans, which earned him a comeback to the Indian team. So far, Hardik has excelled in both the batting and the bowling departments for India in white-ball cricket.

On Sunday, the Indian cricketer’s all-round brilliance was on display against Pakistan in the 2022 Asia Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Team. Bowling first, he took 3/25 in his four overs, picking up crucial wickets. Hardik Pandya followed it up with a match-winning 33-run knock to seal the deal for India by five wickets. He smacked a six in the final over to get the team over the line.

Post India’s win, Hardik Pandya took to Twitter to share a special post on his match-winning performance. He recalled his journey from being stretchered off the ground in the 2018 Asia Cup to winning the match for India on Sunday against the same opposition.

“The comeback is greater than the setback,” wrote Hardik Pandya sharing an image on his Twitter handle.

I was remembering it all, the journey is beautiful: Hardik Pandya

Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya expressed that he remembered the 2018 Asia Cup incident when he was taken off the field. He added that one feels a sense of achievement after reaching this stage, given the past incidents. Hardik Pandya also credited the individuals who helped him in his journey behind the scenes.

“I was remembering it all. I was stretchered off at the same venue against the same opponent in the 2018 Asia Cup. You feel a sense of achievement because of the things that have happened in the past, today I got an opportunity. The journey is beautiful. The fruits of our journey come to us, but behind the scenes, a lot of people do not get credit who walk along with us,” Hardik said in an interview with Ravindra Jadeja in a video uploaded by BCCI.
