The Indian team got a major boost as star pacer Jasprit Bumrah joined the team for the Super 4 stage where they will play against arch-rivals Pakistan at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on 10th September. With rain threat, the ACC decided to give reserve day on 11th September if.

Indian team thrashed Nepal by 10 wickets in their last group match at Palleke International Stadium, Kandy on 4th September. Bumrah went to India as his wife gave birth to his first child. It is superb news for the Indian cricket team as they would look to begin the Super 4 stage with victory over arch-rivals Pakistan.

Mohammed Shami did a decent job picking up 1 wicket for 29 runs in his 7 overs. He bowled with great control but could not pick up early wickets. Mohammed Siraj was expensive but picked 3 wickets along with Ravindra Jadeja also grabbing 3 scalps.

The Indian team could not bowl in the second innings as heavy rains took place which resulted in both teams sharing one point each.

Jasprit Bumrah

The Indian team will begin the outdoor training session at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo today as there is sunshine after rainy days. Jasprit Bumrah’s inclusion will be a huge inclusion as it will strengthen the pace bowling department.

India will start their Super 4 tournament against arch-rivals Pakistan on 10th September. They will then play against Sri Lanka on 12th September before they play their final encounter in the Super 4 stage against Bangladesh to be played at the same venue on 15th September against Bangladesh.

Jasprit Bumrah did not get a chance to bowl in the Group stage match against Pakistan at Palleke International Stadium, Kandy on 2nd September. Thanks to a brilliant 138-run partnership for the 5th wicket between Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan, the Indian team posted 266 in 48.5 overs after being reduced to 66 for 4.

Indian team would look to their top order of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill to bat well against a top-quality bowling lineup of Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah and Haris Rauf. It promises for a great encounter as they would look to showcase their skills before qualifying for finals on 17th September.
