In preparation for their Asia Cup 2023 opener against Pakistan on September 2, vice-captain Hardik Pandya, along with Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, and Suryakumar Yadav, participated in an unusual golf competition during a recent headshots session. Instead of traditional golf clubs, they used cricket bats to aim for the target.

Unfortunately, Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, and Hardik Pandya missed, but Suryakumar Yadav managed to hit the target flawlessly. Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, and Suryakumar Yadav engage in a unique session where they use a cricket bat while playing golf with headshots.

Gill and Kishan share a strong friendship, and this camaraderie was evident during the photoshoot. While Gill was attempting to strike a pose, Kishan playfully tried to make him laugh. Debutant Tilak Varma displayed a high level of concentration during the headshots session, while Shardul Thakur was astonished by the 3D animation of Indian cricketers presented to him on a phone by the animation team.

A 3D animation video of Axar Patel executing the spintronic left both him and Sanju Samson in stitches.

KL Rahul was initially designated as India’s primary wicketkeeper-batsman for the Asia Cup 2023. Unfortunately, he sustained an injury that has sidelined him for the group stage of the tournament.

Ishan Kishan is the sole alternative wicketkeeper in the primary squad, necessitating his inclusion in the starting lineup. Typically, Kishan serves as an opener in India’s ODIs.

However, with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill as options, his batting position for tomorrow’s match will be intriguing. According to The Indian Express, Kishan is set to bat in the middle order.
