Indian women’s team qualified for the semi-finals as their match against Malaysia was abandoned due to rain. After asking to bat first by Winfred, Shafali Varma looked impressive scoring a quickfire 67 off 39 balls, Jemimah Rodrigues remained not out on 47 while Richa Ghosh scored an impressive knock in the final over to help India post 173 for 2 in 15 overs.
Malaysia batted just 1 delivery before heavy rains came and the match was called off. Due to higher rankings, the Indian team made it into the semi-finals. On the other hand, Bangladesh women qualified for the semi-finals as their match against Hong Kong was abandoned due to rain.
